Uh oh.

Alright, so. I'm not the first and I am not the last student who will or who has asked this. I really messed up bad. Come midterms, I thought I was getting a solid 3.0. Before I go on: I'm a first semester freshman. I've also been taking some real hard courses. Was stuck in a junior class and I received a final passing grade of D for that.

For my midterms, it basically looked like this:

Gen Bio - B.
Gen Bio Lab - B.
Philosophies of the Constitution - B. (what I got a D in.)
Honors Rhetoric I - C.
FYS - B.
Learning Essentials - B.

So, I thought I was doing okay! In highschool I struggled a lot, but I managed to pull a 3.4 overall.

Now, I did my finals and I was really worried about my PoC class. I was also worried about my rhetoric class. I got the head of the department, and she did not hand out Bs or As. Never.

Regardless, come finals:

Gen Bio - C+
Gen Bio Lab - B.
PoC - D.
Rhetoric - C.
FYS - A.
Learning Essentials - B.

I now have a 2.3. I'm trying to figure out what I did wrong, what I could improve in, etc. I was a little distracted by losing two family members & having my boyfriend around me, but that's pretty much it. Is it possible to lift this up to a 3.0 by my second semester? My own father doesn't seem too phased by it, but I'm over here freaking out. How the hell am I ever going to get into a decent grad school? Also, my Major IS Biology-- I had a horrible professor. I tend not to blame the teachers, but this one was a real piece of work.

Anyways, I'm sorry for the massive wall of text.

Do I have a chance?
