Uhoh

<p>hey guys
I'm in a bit of a dilemma.... I've generally been a straight A student throughout highschool with the exception of 1 or 2 Bs in unimportant courses (electives etc). I am a full IB diploma kid and take a very rigorous course load.. HL sciences etc. My first semester of senior year has been pretty miserable.. i guess it's the combination of apps, activities, courses that's have just inhibited me from maintaining my traditional performance. I have 3 Bs (well 2 b+s and 1 b) and im really concerned that this pretty much destroys my chances as it shows a downward trend.. am i correct? i know it's unpredictable etc etc..but this definitely doesn't look good :'(</p>

<p>I don’t think that it’s going to blow your chances. Sure, straight A’s first semester senior year would definitely help, but a few B’s aren’t going to be a deal breaker. Trust. The regional advisor called my school GC for my first semester grades a few days before ED results came out, and I had 3 B’s and 4 A’s. I still got in, despite having 3 B’s (one of the B’s was in physics, and i applied to SEAS!)
inhale, exhale. okay? this won’t break you. also, did you apply to cornell? i read somewhere on CC that someone forgot to send a midyear report to cornell. when he called them and apologized for this, asking if he should send in his midyear report late, he was told, “it’s fine. you don’t have to. we don’t really care about it unless your grades are bad.” again, this is just what i read on some other forum on CC, but it should give you some hope, right?
