@sunflower406 GPPA Medicine is done sending out invites. On GPPA website, it says decisions will be made on or before Mar 15th so I guess we shall see.
Thanks @frokenclarp
If any current GPPA students remember the day they heard back, please let us know.
@frokenclarp , last year the Medicine GPPA results were supposed to come out by April 1st and someone posted on March 30th in the morning that they had been accepted. So I am presuming since this year we are supposed to hear back from UIC by March 15th, the results could come a couple of days earlier based on when results were released last year
@sunflower406 Got it, so maybe just maybe the 13th
@forkenclarp…where does it say that results would come out on March 15th…
Could you post the website info here…
Thanks
@forkenclarp…got it
March 15th results out for GPPA as per website below…

lets hope it does…
@forkenclarp, @sajju786 - 20 more days to go then!
@saib2019 , @sajju786 , @frokenclarp Did you feel like your GPPA interview had a rough start and kind off got better as you were going through it ? because I saw that a lot of applicants especially from previous years have indicated the same
@saib2019 , @sajju786 , @frokenclarp Also is it true that there a fixed quota/number of students that get selected from each high school ?
@sunflower406 Yeah I would agree with you about the interview. The interviewer was really hard to read but I felt better as the interview proceeded. I am not sure about the fixed quota from each high school.
Thanks @frokenclarp
@sunflower406 - I agree with you about the Interview. It got better as it progressed. I am not sure about the fixed quota from each high school. We are very much interested in GPPA and hopefully will get the good news!
@sunflower406 - did you feel the same way about the interview?
My DS did ok …did not say much about the interview. My DS is definitely very interested in GPPA, so good luck to both of you!
@sunflower406…done know if they have a school quota…
UIC-GPPA is a very reputable and an excellent program, I know kids who are doing it and are very happy with the program.
Also it is not costly as NU or other OOS programs…
@sajju786 , yes I agree that UIC-GPPA is an excellent program. If you don’t mind me asking … could you say if you chose BU as your first choice (especially since one has to select by March 1st) or is UIC GPPA your first choice ?
@sajju786 especially since BU gives 20K per year to NMF (National Merit Finalist) like yourself. My DS is also an NMF but not sure if UIC GPPA gives anything additional to NMF ?
@sajju786 we have not received NU HPME invite so far, and my DS really liked the UIC campus visits before the GPPA interview
@sunflower406…there is an intimidation factor at beginning of GPPA interview, they do it on purpose to gauge the maturity of the candidate…i don’t know why they do it but it has been the norm at GPPA interviews…
Lot of kids do loose their bearing due to the intimidation at beginning of the interview and then loose the spot…you need to be calm to the interviewers intimidation and go along and after first couple questions thing smooth out…
