UIC Pre-pharm is not a major; it is just an advising track which will help you get into Human Anatomy. You’ll just go through regular admissions. You should have no troubles there. UIC also offers a guaranteed admissions program (GPPA) for pharmacy. The requirements are an ACT score>28 and be in the top 15% of your class. That program is more competitive.
UIC pharmacy does accept many students from both UIC and UIUC. They give preference to Illinois residents. They say they do not give preference to UIC students, but also say, they know the UIC pre-pharm program the best. The majority of students (>75%) have a BS at acceptance.
Pick the school which you think is best for you. Both schools have good and bad points.
