<p>FEb 18 is decision date for all who were deferred EA and all who applied regular decision by early January except for those applying to majors that require portfolios and/or interviews/auditions – art, theater, dance, music – for which decisions could be delayed to as late as March 15.</p>

<p>HockeyMom63 you are hilarious, my DD status went from “admitted” (she was Early Action Mechanical Engineering), to “nothing”. A few weeks ago she received an email notifying her of James Scholar. Yes there are other parents that continue to check even after the decision is made.</p>

<p>You’ve likely received an acceptance to DGS, and your first choice program was either full, and/or your stats not high enough to get in. You did, however, not get rejected outright, which is a distinct plus. Now, at least you get a chance to take the same classes you would have taken if accepted to your original program of choice, and prove them wrong by obtaining good grades, allowing you to transfer in later.</p>

<p>Have they already given away all of the Provost Scholarships? Is there historically any chance of receiving it during Regular Decision?</p>
<p>I saw a post from last year where the poster said they had been told by UofI that there was two rounds of Provost Scholarships offers, with the second round being sent out at early in March. When my son asked this year about the Provost Scholarships, the responsive email from Admissions just said that all decisions would be out by the end of March and there was no indication that all of the Provost Scholarships had already been offered.</p>
