Dear professionals,
I was admitted to UIUC Chemistry and University of Washington- Seattle ChemE. I intend to transfer to UIUC ChemE if I go to UIUC. Should I stay in WA or go Illinois. Also, is Chemistry in UIUC undergrad worth to go if I want to major in ChemE in grad school?

Thank you so much

Wow, we have the same problem!!! Is anybody helping here?

UW is a great engineering school. You’re going to save A LOT of money staying in state, unless you’re getting a full ride from UIUC or something.

Look up the transfer rate for ChemE at Illinois. I don’t think it’d be too high, but if it is then if you can afford it go there. Otherwise, stay at University of Washington because you’re getting a deal there.

chemE and chem are in the same department at uiuc. assuming you’ll do well in chemistry, you can switch after a semester or two. all you have to do is have a high enough gpa (3.0 iirc), talk to your advisor, and you’re in.
