UIUC vs UBC

I am an international (Korean) student and I got accepted to UBC (Sauder business) and UIUC (Social work).

The tuition for UBC is around 39000~41000 and UIUC is 45000~46000.

Basically, I heard if I want to work in Canada go to UBC Sauder but otherwise like USA, than go to UIUC.

I am planning to change majors to economics, international relations, or along those lines...I want to travel and be global as well...and I feel like since I already made UBC Sauder and its cheaper, its the smarter choice...but UIUC sees too valuable especially in USA to just not go to.

I love UBC because the campus is pretty and its near one of the best cities.
I love UIUC because it has that american experience: sports, student life, clubs, etc.

What do I do??? Which is better in the long run? Tell me anything useful~

UCB Sauder will get you where you want to go, whether in Canada or in the US. It’s super prestigious and connected. UIUC for social work really isn’t worth it - for CS, sure, but otherwise, it’s suffered too many budget cuts and Vancouver >>>>>> Champaign.

What about for like economics, international relations, human resources?

Still UBC. You’re talking one of the top 3 schools in Canada so its reputation is excellent.
