I'm currently a rising senior in the US studying the IB Diploma.
I take Higher Level English, Physics, Italian and Chemistry and SL Math and Psychology.
Based on my predicted predicted IB grades, I should have a 39 without any of the extra points (3 7's, 3 six's), and hopefully with the extras a 42 predicted IB grade.
I already took the Psych Exam and got a 7.
I'm wondering if it's worth it to apply to these medical colleges. It seems like in the UK it's just so much more focussed and as soon as you get into the college your being built into the eventual goal of a doctor. My dream is to be either an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports injuries or perhaps some kind of specialist revolving around the neurological connections that the rest of the body has with the brain, all with an emphasis on sports. I would love to end up as a doctor who deals with professional soccer players and the like.

Any help would be appreciated. Tbh the schools in the title are just to catch attention, I'm open to any suggestions.

It depends on where you want to practice, and go to medical school; if you plan to return to the states, then it’s not a very good idea to come to the UK for undergrad. See, a Cambridge or Oxford degree is fairly obviously very highly regarded all around the globe, but the system differs a lot from the US style liberal arts education. While it causes no problems in most of the subject, i.e. you can easily continue to US grad studies after graduating, it’s not the case as regards medical school. Although I know people who successfully done that (the be precise, they went to Harvard Medical School with a Cambridge degree), it’s far from being an easy ride. Because the systems differs a lot, it will cause you a lot of headache if you choose this way, therefore my advice is to stay in the states.

I hear you, I know about the re-certification process that has to happen. Tbh, my dad went to the Universita di Napoli and now is an extremely successful doctor here in the states.
And my dream of being a team doctor would be in England or Europe for a soccer club.
My only real issue is that I’m not sure if I want to take another test (the BMAT) in order to get into the school… it seems like an extra hassle…
