UK student wanting to study film/stage directing in america

i'm only 16 so bear with me, i dont know a lot about this stuff.

So i've just done my GCSE's and i've decided that i really want to get into directing... I've had a look at some of the universities that do directing but al the requirements etc don't make any sense to me!

so i have a few questions:

What are the exam mark requirements for a-level to get into a decent university in america?

what are some good film schools in america?

how much would it cost per term on average?

would i have to apply for extra classes in the UK so i can gain lots more experience?

Or should i just not bother and try something else?
