Michigan has almost no departments/programs rated outside the top 20.

rjk, weren’t these released last Fall? I wonder what the difference between how USNWR rates undergraduate engineering programs and graduate engineering programs is, if there is any.

Does it really matter? Michigan is still top ten in both.

What is more impressive 'novi, is that Michigan is ranked among the top in each Engineering decipline, something that is duplicated only by a handful of colleges of engineering. When it comes to Engineering, Michigan is definitely one of the top 10, arguably one of the top 5.

Aerospace Engineering #3

Biomedical Engineering #10

Chemical Engineering #12

Civil Engineering #7

Computer Engineering #7

Electrical Engineering #6

Environmental Engineering #7

Industrial Engineering #2

Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture #1 (according to other source since USNWR does not rank this discipline

Materials Science #4

Mechanical Engineering #4

Nuclear Engineering #1 (graduate ranking since there is not undergraduate ranking)

When you consider the overall quality and reputation of the university, the world-class facilities and labs, ridiculous research opportunities, corporate recruitment, quality of life etc…, assuming cost of attendance is not an issue, Michigan Engineering is hard to match, let alone beat. Personally, I would recommend only MIT, Stanford or Princeton over Michigan for Engineering, and Cal, Caltech and Cornell on par with Michigan. Other programs may match Michigan in some aspects, but not overall.

But you need a bus to get to campus… ;)

Love UCLA tied with UCSD.

Outside of all the music school kids living on North isn’t that bad

and aren’t all these rating a few months old?
