<p>Which school is more prestigious and is more likely to get me a job in my field out of Florida and out of the southeast?</p>

<p>Academically they arent that far apart from each other, so the decision really comes down to cost and what kind of college experience you want. </p>
<p>If you want to work outside the Southeast, why did you apply to these schools? Or are they the top 2 that admitted you? Or is that a hypothetical (you’re a junior)?</p>
<p>@MYOS1634 Hypothetical. I’m from South Florida and U of Miami is extremely generous to aid and acceptance to kids from my school. Kids with mediocre grades, ECs and test scores get large sums of money to attend. We all attribute it to the fact that kids don’t want to go to school so close to home. And UF is the top state school and with it comes bright futures and pre paid. Therefore, unless you get into a reach out of state, these two are the top schools for most kids in my school.</p>
<p>Both schools have about the same prestige. What is your “field”? Based on your major, one school may be better than the other. </p>
<p>If you have the stats to get into either of these two schools, you can look at OOS schools (both private and public), where merit scholarships or grants are available. </p>
