Can you please share your stats?
Stats really aren’t relevant for Banneker Key. As I’m sure you know, only students admitted to the Honors College are eligible for Banneker Key. And while there is variability around the stats of students admitted to the Honors College, they are generally all high performers. But even with invites to Honors College, we see many examples of where student A gets admitted to Honors, student B doesn’t but student B has higher stats than student A.
As @SoofDad has noted many times, no one in this forum will be able to tell you why one person got a Banneker Key scholarship (or got an Honors College invite) and another student with the same stats didn’t.
