@timex100 what is your D’s intended major?
My son got 50K as well. He got an email but it is also on the Coalition site at the bottom of the checklist.
Nothing yet by email, Coalition checklist, or snail mail for Scholars LLC or merit here in NJ. Maybe tomorrow…?
Nothing yet on Coalition, email, or financial aid link on Maryland website. D of a friend in NJ got a small scholarship email. She is Carillon.

We are OOS. Every other OOS State school has offered scholarships to get us close to in state rates. Maryland doesn’t seem very generous. Son earned between 80-100k at other OOS public schools but only 20k here. Pretty disappointing.
@beligr129 S received email for President’s Scholar $48,000 over 4 years. No scholars or honors but was accepted to FIRE.
Son received $20k, $5k per year. Can someone give me insight? With all my college research, I believe UMD was on list of need blind colleges. These are scholarship notifications, if financial aid eligible, notifications to follow?
My DD was invited to Honors (she’s OOS engineering) and was awarded the Presidential scholarship, 48k (12k/yr). She also got a full ride…tuition, fees, room, board and books for up to 5 years at another OOS university today. She’s also an NROTC scholarship recipient, so she’s got a lot of incredible choices.

Hi all! I was accepted into the Scholars Program earlier this month, however I have yet to receive any email regarding a scholarship award. I am OOS from New York, and I know other people from my school have already received their scholarship emails and they aren’t in the Scholars Program. I am a little confused as my stats are pretty good (Rank 9/500, 98.6 GPA, strong extracurriculars/recommendations). Is there a chance there will be another wave of emails? I just sort of assumed that getting into the Scholars Program would at least get some kind of scholarship. Does anyone have any knowledge/input on this?
YESSSSSSSSS I got the 50K presidential scholarship!!! Full disclosure, I was leaning more towards UVA (because of in state tuition) but now that I have this scholarship and got into the honors college, I am pretty sure I am going to be a terp next fall!! :DDD Congrats to everyone else that got awards too!
Oh and my scholarship email actually ended up in the spam folder so CHECK YOUR SPAM PEOPLE!
@iwanttogetintocollege Congratulations on the scholarship! UMD OOS tuition seems to be over $47,000. Wouldn’t UVA instate still be cheaper?
Congrats to everyone who got scholarship awards. Have any of you already committed to attend Maryland? DD wanted to commit right away, and after we did I wondered if we should wait until after scholarships were awarded. Also, are any of you in state? As you can tell, we are hoping she receives one since she turned down other schools that offered her large merit awards.
When are merit packages available for viewing?

Anybody knows if all scholarships are released in one go? Or can we expect more news in coming days?
