UMD CP Merit Aid decisions

I wish that this information was accessible online.

It’s only been about a week, but still… this certainly does feel like SNAIL MAIL ( ・᷄ ︵・᷅ )

I recently saw on my financial aid status page that I need to send a thank-you note to a scholarship donor, and that I am invited to attend the Celebration of Scholarships day. I never received anything about a donor scholarship and I really don’t even know how it works. I am wondering if anyone knows anything about these and how much they are typically worth. I am oos from Pennsylvania.

@mwm247 where is the financial aid status page?

nvr mind - figured it out

(Ignore my username)

Could you let me know where you found it?

I know where the page is but haven’t been successful in getting in yet … http://www.financialaid.umd.edu/ you have to set up the email address to access the site.

can you only access this page if you accepted your admission or if you are still deciding…since I had the same problem trying to sign on to this page.

I got an email that said I was selected to verify information on my fafsa. This email had directions to make an account but I ended up calling since I was confused. Under the documents tab (sort of like a to do list) there was the thing about writing a thank you note for a donor scholarship.

@collegenj‌ I have not accepted my admission yet.

.

Does anyone else have scholarship info on their financial aid page ?

@mwm247 I did not get an email saying I had to verify my fasfa information, but when I checked the financialaid page I saw that I actually do have to verify things with some documents. Did you have to fill in some documents for verification and do you think it affects your chances of any merit aid?

@JSmooth97‌ I got an email to verify my information. It ended up being about confirming where my sisters are at college. I called financial aid and they said I don’t need to do a thank you letter. But I did end up getting the $12,000 presidential scholarship!
