UMD vs. UVA for Computer Science

Any opinions on which would be the better choice academically/career-wise?

I am in state for UVA so I’m leaning for the in state tuition, but UMDCP is better-ranked for computer science. I don’t really know how UVA CS is regarded, especially as I would be in CAS instead of the engineering school.

As an extra question, what about UMD vs UVA for Chemistry? I also have an interest in studying chemistry.

Graduating U.VA student here. The people I know who did computer science are now working at Apple, Red Hat (starting 95k), Microsoft, and big 5 consulting companies. Uva also just received a HUGE endowment for a new data science program. Uva Computer Science is definitely the way to go.
