Could you send me a picture of what you see?
Mine allows that too.
Thanks
Some people are being allowed and others arenāt, it could mean somethingš
I think it means something too. I think if you cannot change major, it unfortunately is not good news. Just my semi-educated guess
Why not other way round?
I think so too, if youāre accepted why would they let you change your major a day before decisions. I donāt know, it could also mean nothing.
I saw something that said that after youāre accepted you can only change by contacting the academic advisor in the school you were accepted into.
But, Iām guessing itās just a glitch for some people?? Not sure we should read much into it.
Thanks! Lets hope for the best.
Iām not sure we should read much into it either. But its fun to play the guessing game what the inconsistencies on the portals can mean. For all the schools where this stuff happens.
You can take most core subject classes for 1 or 2 semesters, get good grades and then change major.
I wouldnāt recommend requesting a change of major at this point. Itās best to do it after youāre accepted.
When my daughter tries to change her major sheās met with this. Is this a good thing or a bad thing?
I interpret it as a good thing but who knows how they handle itā¦in other words you have a decision which may be partially based on your initial major selection, so why would they let you change it via the app portal ? Curious to see how you fare when they releaseā¦
Agree with you. They will be releasing decisions tomorrow, so it would make no sense if they let you change your major a day before decisions.
Commenting so people who look at this thread can see after decisions: I am able to change my major
The portal states āThe Office of Undergraduate Admission will review requests to change majors until May 15, 2022. Please note that after May 15, incoming students must contact the school or college in which they are enrolled to request a change.ā This is after all decisions have been released.
LOL I just released I never sent my FAFSA to them and I applied for aid EAā¦
āStudents whose admission and financial aid (if applying for aid) applications remain incomplete by the stated deadlines will be at a distinct disadvantage for admission.ā
I have pretty strong stats imo but I probably have no chance because of my aid situation. Guessing itās good to not be able to change major.
min sons says the same thing
sorryā¦ my sonās
