I think it means something too. I think if you cannot change major, it unfortunately is not good news. Just my semi-educated guess

I think so too, if you’re accepted why would they let you change your major a day before decisions. I don’t know, it could also mean nothing.

I saw something that said that after you’re accepted you can only change by contacting the academic advisor in the school you were accepted into.

But, I’m guessing it’s just a glitch for some people?? Not sure we should read much into it.

I’m not sure we should read much into it either. But its fun to play the guessing game what the inconsistencies on the portals can mean. For all the schools where this stuff happens.

You can take most core subject classes for 1 or 2 semesters, get good grades and then change major.

I wouldn’t recommend requesting a change of major at this point. It’s best to do it after you’re accepted.

I interpret it as a good thing but who knows how they handle it…in other words you have a decision which may be partially based on your initial major selection, so why would they let you change it via the app portal ? Curious to see how you fare when they release…

Agree with you. They will be releasing decisions tomorrow, so it would make no sense if they let you change your major a day before decisions.

The portal states “The Office of Undergraduate Admission will review requests to change majors until May 15, 2022. Please note that after May 15, incoming students must contact the school or college in which they are enrolled to request a change.” This is after all decisions have been released.

LOL I just released I never sent my FAFSA to them and I applied for aid EA…

“Students whose admission and financial aid (if applying for aid) applications remain incomplete by the stated deadlines will be at a distinct disadvantage for admission.”

I have pretty strong stats imo but I probably have no chance because of my aid situation. Guessing it’s good to not be able to change major.
