How much financial aid does Michigan give to out of state students? I am looking to get into the Ross School of Business.
Thanks.

Not much.
They state they “try to meet need for OOS students” but don’t have the deep pockets to do that.
University of Michigan meets full need for instate students. For OOS, they are working toward doing do, but do not make this guarantee at this time.
Michigan requires the FAFSA and Profile as financial aid applications.
How much aid do you need to attend?
@thumper1 I will need quite a bit. Income is ~45k, which is why it’s a reach for me
Apply and see!
Did you run the net price calculator on the Michigan website?
It has a net price calculator that will answer the question for you better than anyone here can.
Apply EA too.
@CourtneyThurston this isn’t true. U of M has actually come quite a ways in the last several years in providing aid to lower income OOS students.
I did the NPC with some generic (low) numbers and a 50k income and it came out with ~10k price tag after all grant aid. With work and loans, that is definitely doable. Of course, OP, you MUST run the numbers yourself.
