I have a 3.175 gpa good essays good.ec’s and 1290 on the new sat. Can i get into university of michigan on full finance as an international applicant on EA?
Quite unlikely. Your SAT & GPA are well below 25th percentile. GPA is measured in the context of your school, what is your class rank?
Michigan’s mid 50% GPA range is 3.75-3.95, and the mid 50% SAT is 1300-1500. You are below both ranges, as such, your chances of admission aren’t good.
Also, Michigan does not provide international students with financial aid.
My class rank is 10.
So i cant even get in even on paying full as an international? Is there even a remote chance? Michigan is a public university so i thought they might accept me.
And also how many internationals on average go for paying full?
There is always a chance. You lose nothing by applying. You were asking for chances, and we simply said that the odds are not good.
100% of international students pay full tuition at Michigan. There are very few that receive scholarships and financial aid from their own governments and other institutions, but those are not handed out by the University of Michigan. Michigan does not provide financial aid to international students.
Public universities are not easier to get into than private universities. Elite public universities like Michigan, Berkeley, UCLA, UNC-Chapel Hill and UVa are as difficult to get into as elite private universities like Brown, Cornell, Georgetown, Northwestern, Penn and Rice for out of state applicants.
Actually, he does have something to lose. $75 USD…the application fee. Sorry to say your scores don’t fit the profile of who is accepted.
There are other excellent colleges that are looking for students with your qualifications…keep researching! I feel sure you’ll find a great fit. Best wishes.
