Currently deciding between these two schools. Majoring in Econ and Math. Not particularly interested in business (why I didn’t apply for Stern or the pre-Ross thing) but more so on analytical/theoretical economics. Seems like both of them are in pretty good areas and class size is pretty close too. Any suggestions?
In-state for Michigan? And how is your financial aid at NYU? Also, mind helping me out if you can? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/discussion/comment/18333866#Comment_18333866
no instate, no financial aid from either - NYU will definitely be more expensive
Can your parents afford to pay the entire cost of attendance of either college?
What kind of scene would you prefer? NYU is obviously in a very large city and doesn’t have much of a traditional campus. The kind of student who wants to go to NYU is looking for that, though; they don’t need a traditional campus, and they take advantage of New York both academically/professionally and socially. Michigan is much more the traditional undergraduate experience, with D1 athletics and the small college town and a campus life that is going to revolve a lot on the physical location of Michigan.
