UMich Spring term classes and housing

Any kind of answer to ANY parts of the following questions are appreciated!

  1. Has anyone taken Calc III (MATH 215), ECON 102, BIOLOGY 173, or BIOLOGY 305 during the spring term at UMich?

If so, how was it/them? It’s obviously twice the pace as during regular semester, but what was your experience?

  1. Also, anyone got spring on campus housing as a continuing student? (as in not a freshman) It's first come first serve, but having dealt with horrendous housing process for next full year, I need to be aware of what to expect for spring housing. So how likely are you to get it if you go get the app early?

Thanks!

bump?

  1. You are more likely to get a more senior professor, so teaching is sometimes better. Classes are usually smaller too.
  2. You are much better off getting a sublet - rent is about 1/2 of the normal rate. Some of the Greek houses also rent rooms over the spring/summer.
