<p>I looked at their academic calendar and it seems to end in april and begin in september... WOW! thats almost a 5 month break. </p>

<p>Michigan's long summer break was definitely a big drwa for me. I knew I could work for a couple of months or take a 2 month summer term and still be left with 2 months of pure relaxation.</p>
<p>Are "regular" courses offered during the half terms, ie courses like physics 140/141? Or are there only a limited number of special courses offered?</p>
<p>the availability of lsa classes are quite good in the spring and summer half terms.</p>
