Prompt: Describe the unique qualities that attract you to the specific undergraduate College or School (including preferred admission and dual degree programs) to which you are applying at the University of Michigan. How would that curriculum support your interests? (500 words maximum)

I have absolutely NO idea how to start this essay. It's my last one and I'm feeling the time crunch as the early application deadline is fast approaching.
I want to get accepted into LSA and go into psychology.

Also, on a totally different note I was wondering what my chances really were, if I applied early, to UMich. I have a 3.66 as my accumulative, unweighted GPA and I got a 23 on my ACT. I've taken 4 AP courses throughout my high school career as well as many Honors courses. I've been all but too involved in my high school throughout my four years as well. Don't be too brutal when telling me what you guys think D:

As for the essay, they are interested in knowing what is it about Michigan that makes you want to go there to study psychology in the College of LSA. It’s a question you need to research, think about and answer for yourself because it should apply to your personal experience.

The GPA and ACT are on the low side for Michigan so I would say it is a reach.

That ACT score will kill you. That’s bottom 5%ish I would guess. The fact that you don’t know what to write for your essays isn’t encouraging either. I’d say it’s a huge reach. Sorry.

it is a reach indeed. go to michigan state or another school and transfer in after your freshman or sophomore year. Many of my friends have done that. It’s well worth it.

i totally agree with what your saying about the supplement. Im struggling to get through it as well. I have been unable to visit UMich and now Im just trying to do some more research. It says 500 words max…should it be near 500 words?

Also fyi i hate to say it but your ACT score hurts alot, as previously said. Good Luck though!
