Umich Transfer Thread: Winter 2018

Anyone here got the decision from counselor Sarah Rice?

anyone here that applied to COE and not LSA or kines :0

What I find to be the most frustrating is that the Winter semester is literally right around the corner. That doesn’t give us much time to get financial aid, pay our deposits, and go to orientation when we haven’t even gotten our decisions yet. It’s tough, and I’m not sure how it’ll work out.

@JavaJoe I am so stressed out about all of those points. I am also stressing out about the living situation (off campus living) because I live out of state. It is going to be very hard for me to find a place to live in such a short time. It cost me about 400 dollars in plane tickets alone. ESPECIALLY during the holiday season :((

@JavaJoe @UMICH62826281827 I completely agree. It’s literally so soon, we need to have some amount of time to get our lives sorted!!

@UMICH62826281827 Completely same as you…cannot help checking WA frequently for me. But according to the thread past year it seemed that some people receive emails before the account got updated?

And for me who have never studied in US it will be a even tighter schedule for winter semester :frowning: but we may expect it coming out in mid Nov. at latest right…? Hope everyone can get decisions soon~

@Idub9715 @Mockingjay98 It is a very stressful and anxiety building to say the least. And that would be very strange to have the email sent before WA updates? I think if I contact admissions with one more question they will reject me just because I’m annoying them :))

It depends when your application was completed (NOT submitted) so count 8 weeks after that date and that would/should be the longest it should take @Mockingjay98

I was told that most admissions decisions should be released within the next week or so

@Astro956 by whom?

Just got rejected :frowning: good luck to you guys!!

Sorry to hear @ldub9715 are you going to apply for spring summer or fall then?

@ldub9715 I’m really sorry, friend. I don’t think you should give up, though. No one should be roped in to going to a college they don’t want to when more suitable opportunities are out there. You should give it another shot. Like @Astro956 said, maybe try the spring, summer, or fall.

@Astro956 @JavaJoe thanks guys!! Keeping my fingers crossed for you

@Astro956 who told you this information??? @Idub9715 I’m sorry, my man! Don’t give up if you feel UMICH is truly for you. Everything happens for a reason.

@UMICH62826281827 what @Astro956 is saying makes sense based on threads from years past. By this time 2 weeks from now all the decisions should be out.

@ConcrndMom I really hope that it is accurate. Although I really hope we all hear back before the 2 weeks past, it is nice to know that. I wish everybody the best of luck with UMICH and I hope we all get in. GO BLUE!!

I applied to CoE and I was able to view my financial aid award summary under wolverine access 30 mins ago. Hopefully that means we will be hearing back very soon.

Just found out I got accepted into CoE on wolverine access!
