UMich vs. UCDavis

I was accepted to Davis today for BioChem/Molecular Bio, which is also my major for UMich*. Quick and dirty, which one is better for bio (I'm gonna be premed)? I like both schools (nice campuses and people), and cost will be about the same. I'm from California.

*Neither the admissions packet nor the email told me what my major was for UMich but I put mol. Bio on Common App. Where can I check my major?

Anyone?

10 Anyones?

If cost is the same go to Michigan for sure.

Also, where do I find out what major they put me in? Is it just what I put on the Common App?

EDIT: I saw on their site that you don’t declare major (concentration?) until sophomore year. Whoa…I’m new to this college thing.

If cost is not an issue, I would go for Michigan. I don’t think it makes a difference for pre-med students, but the overall experience will be better and Michigan is a better overall school. If cost is an issue and one school is significantly cheaper, go for that one because medical school is very costly.

Not sure how an instater to a CA public school will pay the same tuition OOS to Michigan unless there was a huge scholarship offered.
