Test scores, rank, and GPA are NOT everything!!! The essays and extracurriculars mean SO much in the process and I cannot emphasize that enough!! Please please please for future reference, spend a lot of time on the essays and portraying yourself as the best candidate there is! And remember, you will end up where you need to be and in the end, it’s all about what YOU make of your college experience. God was so generous in offering me a place in UMich and he will definitely offer you a place in the school you need to be at! TRUST ME.

[B]Reflections:*
Strengths: Essays, teacher recs
Weaknesses: SAT, rigor of curriculum
Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: In my essays I talked about why I didn’t take as many AP classes as I should have, they were pretty personal. I’m also not the typical engineering applicant with a super high SAT and member of the robotics team.
Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected:

[B]General Comments (if any):* I was deferred and then accepted pretty soon after so keep your hopes up. Also, don’t think you have to have a crazy SAT and a bunch of APs to get into engineering.

For people getting in now whether it be from deferrals or RD, do they send you an email first or have you just been checking your portals?
