Congrats to all! I wonder how many will be accepted. When my son received a call for michigan the message said very few. I’m wondering also if it wil be fewer than 18? I’ve also been trying to get info on UT Austin. Does anyone know n
anything about its theatre program. My s got accepted and loved the school. Just don’t know anyone who went. Thanks y’all.

At the parent meeting at my D’s audition in Ann Arbor we were led to believe they would make offers to around 50 Acting applicants in order to fill a class of 18. I think that is typical for audition programs that want a freshman class of 16-18. Correct me if I am wrong anyone! My D also reports that one of her girlfriends was just accepted (last night I think). So I think those acceptances are still coming.

HHK Mom, thanks for that info, we auditioned at Unifieds, so there was no parent meeting. Boy, do we have to dig in this weekend and start researching! Congrats to all who have been accepted and stay strong to all those waiting!

We’ve heard absolutely nothing from Michigan. My D auditioned for BFA acting at Unifieds. I know several have heard of acceptances and rejections. I figure it’s a rejection, but still . . . there’s been no letter or email and nothing on Wolverine Access has changed. Just wondering if anyone else has heard anything either way since the last news here on March 14?

If you check the Michigan 2017 thread in the general colleges & universities CC section, you will see many others are still awaiting their decisions. Continue to check Wolverine website each day, but otherwise it sounds like all remaining decisions will be out by next Friday.

Well, we were incredibly surprised today when my D got an email from Michigan–she’s been accepted to the performance BFA!

Wow, that’s terrific. Congratulations!!

Wonderful - congrats to your D, ResrchMom.

ResrchMom – that’s fabulous news and hopefully worth the wait.

Wow! Fantastic, RescrchMom! Who knew they would still be contacting students! Great news.

Thanks, all. We were quite surprised. Too bad we didn’t know last week when we were doing our road trip to colleges. We could have added U of Michigan to our stops.

I just saw I was put on the wait list for BFA acting, which is awesome, seeing as I’ve only actually got into my state school’s BFA (U of U). That means that the wait continues…

My D was accepted to both Michigan Acting and DePaul and is having difficulty deciding. Any thoughts on the two programs would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

concerned - that’s great news - 2 excellent choices. My son is finishing year 3 at UMich and very happy with the program, school, campus and student body. Also the strong alumni network is a plus. Good Luck.
