Has anyone heard any news?

Nothing here.

Nothing I’m convinced we’re never hearing lol

Well put whatsgood!!

Yea! My son got in to the acting BFA. Phew!!!

Muttle1 – Congratulations! Can you please share the timing of the acceptance and when your S auditioned?

Thanks. Yes. He auditioned in New York on 2/3. He received a phone call at 3:45. They left a voicemail and he called back so they will leave a message on case people are wondering. He is very excited. I explained to him that even if he didn’t get into any audition program, there is absolutely nothing to stop him from pursuing acting. In the end it is about perseverance and luck as well as continual study.

Muttle 1 – Is your S’s Wolverine Access status different now? Congratulations, by the way! Michigan looks like an incredible program!

His Wolverine access is still the same. The message he received today led me to believe they just finished reviewing his application and audition material and then called.

My D got an acceptance call this afternoon. We weren’t home so they followed up with an email around 5pm. Her audition date was 2/8. Nothing has changed on her Wolverine Access access. Best of luck everyone!

Same to you. Congratulations!

My son got a phone call today and was left a message. He had his phone turned off for class. He is so excited and proud! Auditioned at LA Unifieds. Haven’t checked Wolverine Access yet, and I haven’t heard about an e-mail but we have been busy…

congratulations to all! :)

Congrats to everyone! Still keeping hope alive!

Great attitude Atlashands!

Definitely keep hope alive. This has been some crazy process. When people (non acting/audition) complain about the college application process they have no idea what stress is. These kids have worked so hard for years in HS, have endless hours of outside activities, hell weeks in which they stay at school until midnight and are judged, in the end, by a fifteen minute interview. I give these kids so much credit simply for going after what they want. Merely putting themselves out there to be scrutinized and judged (which is a necessary aspect of this business), takes guts!!! They have all accomplished something already, whether they realize it or not.

I second Muttle1’s encouraging words. This is such a tough process and it makes it even harder when you know an email could come any day instead of knowing that all notices will be mailed on one day at the end of March. And I do believe the acceptances to the Michigan BFA Acting program will come in waves because we know of one person who apparently received an acceptance back in early February, so that was making my D very anxious.

Hey I just want to extend congrats to everyone, it was nice reading a happy encouraging thread with some great news. Was great to find this happy positive place today. Congrats!

Just to let you know that my DD got a call last night ( accepted BFA Acting; auditioned at Chicago Unifieds), so calls are still being made. The acceptance also showed up today on Wolverine Access.

She was very happy and very surprised. I think she had been afraid to even hope.

So hang in there!

Wonderful VAmom. Congrats to you D!
