um...let's see: I don't know the answer to that question (the inquiry wasn't even directed at me) but I'm pretty sure we don't have classes on saturdays...

o yea, wats the minimum hs gpa we needa keep to stay in this program?

I believe it's 3.0 to move on to year 2, which isn't really bad at all. You'd need much more than that to get into med school normally anyway.

Why do med students HAVE to stay in the oak street dorms? Why not the "average" dorms? Does a person in the program have a lot of time to spend with friends (or a significant other?)
Also, is there any/a lot of resentment between the 6 year B.A/M.D people and the "average" students?

ifiarc: there is a parking structure right in front of the dorms (and another one on Volker Campus), and you'll need to purchase a parking permit to park anywhere on campus (unless you use metered parking). you don't really need a car while you're living in the dorms and have classes on Volker campus (because you can carpool to docent which is at the hospital), but i would make sure to have a car when you start having classes on Hospital Hill which begins during your second year.

no classes on saturdays unless you sign up for one. but there may be an occassional review session and/or lab exam on the weekends.

Hey! I am interested in UMKC Ba/Md program, and thought you would know a lot about it. Do you know if it is only for Missouri residents only? Is it a conditional acceptance to med school according to your performance in college?

UMKC has both in-state (about 75%) and out-of-state students (about 25%).

Once admitted to UMKC SOM, you must maintain a 3.0 science GPA

actually, I meant what's the minimum gpa we needa keep in High school for our second semester senior year to stay in the program.

and not get kicked out of the program before we even start

umm i dont think there's a set gpa for your second semester of senior year, but i definitely wouldn't let it drop, as they will be getting your final transcript i believe. you have to be able to show that you are committed to doing well.
