Ok...so I got my stuff today. First of all, I'm a little disappointed because all I got was a Stafford Loan from NYU. Nothing Else. But that's probably not an error.

However, it says I'm being treated as a commuter student? Why is that? I want to dorm at NYU. Was I supposed to mark it somewhere on the applicatoin?

Secondly, I got an invitation to the CAS Baird Scholars Program thing. But I am NOT an NMF Finalist. I'm really confused. I don't know what to think.

Are there any other forms I should expect? Otherwise, NYU looks like a no go :(

on the NYU supplement, there is a housing question right at the top under where it asks you what your major is. Did you save a copy? Check it if you did

Here is what their website says about Baird

Baird Urban Experience
Henry M. Baird Scholarships are awarded to selected students who have been recognized as National Merit Finalists. Baird Scholars participate in special activities, including cultural programs, the Scholars Lecture Series, Freshman Honors Seminars, and community service. In addition, they are assigned a senior faculty member who will customize their academic programs to their individual interests or needs. Students participating in this program may receive merit scholarships.

Ah thanks Sue, but i checked and yeah i applied for a resident spot in the NYU facility.

Ah..and lucky me. Got invited to a good program. But did not get the merit aid.

Blah...

Good bye NYU :(

My question is, is it possible to be a Presidential Scholar AND a Baird Scholar? Are those stackable? :P
