What if we are unable to submit the health form on time because my GP is booked up until next week, so as to prevent me from booking a physical examination.

i dont think it’s a MAJOR deal…although not sure if foreigners have to do extra paperwork

hey mariam…how are you?

what’s your major again? :D

I submitted the online form already but the signed paper work definitely would NOT be in on time. I don’t think it’s too big of a deal. I found out I was accepted over the phone in Apr, got my financial aid, but STILL haven’t received an acceptance package a month later. Apparently it got lost in the mail and now they’re resending it (lol).

So send it as soon as you can, but don’t stress about it!

It’s not too big a deal if it’s a little late. Just don’t wait too long!

My friend was a spring transfer…didn’t turn in his health forms and got an e-mail in Feb. stating if he didn’t turn his forms in by the end of the week, he would be “deregistered” for the semester.

Hey I’m good. I think Ill major in Biology and Society.

^YES! That’s the way to go. Hopefully we’ll have the same classes (or are the classes for B&S different between CALS and CAS? I think I read somewhere that we all have the same classes and professors). Anyways, I’m going on vacation on Saturday and can’t get get an appointment to get that physical exam in time, so I think I’ll send in the forms in about three weeks (it’s not that I procrastinated–it’s that I’ve been busy with graduation stuff and whatnot).

All Biology and Society students have the same core curriculum regardless of their college within Cornell.

As far as I can tell, the only penalty of submitting it late is an $100 fee that will be charged if you submit it after August 14, according to the Gannett website. ([Health Requirements for Cornell University Students](http://www.gannett.cornell.edu/medical/requirements.html)) If you submit it after that time, you also won’t be registered for their health services, I guess?

I’m in the same boat: I had a physical scheduled for January, but it ended up being during my midterms so we decided to reschedule it for Aug. 5th because we’ll be gone for most of the rest of the summer before and after. But it looks like that’s cutting it a little close, and I don’t know if my pediatrician has any other openings available…

I was told through an e-mail that the physical examination can be taken during the summer or at Cornell. All we have to do is take note of that on our paperwork. So we’d have to write “The physical exam is scheduled for _________” or “I plan to take the physical examination as soon as I get to Cornell University’s campus”. Also, they told me that it should be received by the 12th, but if you can’t, there will be no penalty for getting it close to that date.
