So I told all of my colleges that I am applying to that I will be taking a community college course this quarter. However, because of a scheduling conflict with one of my activities at school, I am now unable to take the class. How should I notify the admissions offices about this? And is this going to be a serious negative for me? There's no way that I am going to be able to take the class (I have dance team rehearsals) but I'm really worried that the colleges will see it as a drawback. (Btw, I am applying to USC, NYU, Columbia, Georgetown, UCLA, UCB, and others)

Everyone knows that there is a big difference between planning to do something and actually being able to do it. If anyone should bother to ask, “Unfortunately, there was an unexpected schedule conflict.” should take care of things just fine.
