Both I'm told are great schools. Umass amherst is the state flagship school for my state and Umass dartmouth is very close to home and offers smaller class sizes. Hesitant about dartmouth because I don't think ill have as many research opportunities. Feel free to voice your opionion...

Are you trying to decide which school will best prepare you for dental school?

Yes which would be the better option

I would choose the school where you can excel academically and come out with the least amount of debt. It doesn’t matter what school you go to as long as the school is an accredited institution. As I said before, choose the school that will help you to do well academically. You want your GPA to be as high as possible when your applying to dental school. Also, you want to go to the school that will prepare you for the DAT (Dental Admissions Test). It’s no good if you have a great GPA but a terrible DAT score because that just shows you didn’t truly understand what was going on in your science classes. Also, choose the school that will give you the least amount of debt. Your going to get incur a lot of debt in dental school. You want your undergraduate debt to be as low as possible so that you don’t have to worry about that in the future. Do you want to live close to home or do you want to go farther away? These are some factors that can help you determine which school to go to.
