Thinking about applying for Transfer United @Vincent1997 by the way you should join the Facebook group and the GroupMe chat if interested.
Hey @Epictetus28, I sent you a PM!
hey everyone!!! late to the party. i’m committed to unc for this fall as well (after many rejections, i might add jskdjfsk), and was wondering if anyone knows anything about the RLPs? i’m applying for transfers united, but idk which of the other ones is good. mainly, i just want a single on campus…so whichever RLP would get me a single/raise my chances of getting a single…
Hi! I’m late to the party too (after lurking for ages) but I’m transferring from an NC CC this fall. I’ve registered for classes and I’m a bio major. I haven’t gotten my financial aid package yet but hopefully, I’ll get Covenant. I did receive the CCI grant though.
I’m going to be in the Transfers United RLP. At the transfer student event, they said that room assignments would most likely go out mid-July for Transfers United, if anyone was wondering about that.
Also, if any of you guys need to get into a major class but it’s full, try emailing the department undergrad student services specialist. A lot of those classes reserve seats for transfer students, so let them know and be sure to include your PID. I was registered for the class I needed about an hour after emailing.
So happy to have been admitted and join the party!! I was admitted from the waitlist and just now getting into the registration process.
For the RLP application, how much are you writing? I think one of them asks for an essay that is up to 500 words. Do you guys go all out or…?
Confused about the housing contract… if I apply and don’t live there, will I be charged later? Or penalized?
@nduclaunc I believe that you’ll get penalized $200, or something along those lines. I am not sure if that applies once you submit your application, or once you get to select your dorm.
Hey guys, I am currently committed to UNC and will be registering for classes and applying to housing but I am still waiting on my #1 choice. I will hear back from them around July and if I get in I will be attending there. I was going to ask what would happen if I fully committed to UNC (registering to classes and applying to housing) and withdrew later on?
You will not get your deposit money back, what is your #1 choice btw?
@UNCISMYDREAM USC
@Vincent1997 I wrote maybe 2-3 paragraphs about how much the RLP would help me in the transition and how I’d love to participate in and possibly organize activities. It wasn’t extensive and certainly nothing to stress over like a college admission essay is!
