UNC Chapel Hill EA Applicants 2018

I’m a semifinalist. You applied for Morhead back in Oct. got and email a month ago.

I’m not sure how to answer your previous question, but I don’t think I ever got an email. Did you have to apply separately from the common application?

Oh i see your question. My bad. The morehead requires a separate application that you had to fill out on its respective website. Same with the Robertson also offered at UNC. The system is kind of unfair IMO because it benefits those in the know, for lack of a better phrase.

Damn, I wish I had known/applied! I thought it was just included in the application just like a few other schools I know. Oh well :P

I can’t wait to find out our admissions decisions soon! Good luck to everyone.

How unfair was it that my school nominated me for the morehead three days before the application deadline? The application was hugeeeeee and I wasn’t about to submit something crappy and thrown together at the last minute to UNC.

I entered my information a few days ago but no one has chanced me yet. I thought it may have gotten overlooked. If anyone can give me your thoughts, that would be great! Thank you!

Ddreent, I’d say you’re a solid applicant if it wasn’t for your scores. Don’t worry though, I have lower scores too. It’s really kind of hard to chance people like us because you never know how subjective/holistic UNC is going to be. Regardless of what people say, they do want to see a person… but they want to see a test score too.

Hi everyone! I’ve never posted here before but I’ve been reading a bunch of posts  I think you all have a great chance of being accepted! I’m terrified but I also want to know but I’m also dreading it you know?? Anyway, do you know when we get invitations for scholarship day (if applicable) sent and how we receive them? (mail, email, before or after decisions…?)

Thanks Annazee13. Hopefully if I don’t get denied, they will defer it to give me a chance to retake the SAT.

That’s what I’m hoping for too. A straight up rejection would be hard to take.

I am on pins and needles waiting for this decision! Two years ago, they were released on the 19th, and the 25th last year. I’m pretty sure it will be the 24th, but maybe there’s a tiiiiiny chance for next Friday?! I’ve been accepted into UNCW and receive my NCSU decision on the 30th. Where else have the rest of you in-state applicants applied?

I’m instate and I applied to chapel hill, clemson, and east Carolina. I’ve had so much trouble with my ecu app that I’m not even worrying about it now, it’s been so annoying. I didn’t apply to uncw because I like chapel hill and ecu’s college atmosphere so much better. Plus everyone from my school wants to go to uncw/cape fear so I really don’t wanna be like everyone else lol.

I’m instate and applied to UNCW, UNCC, and Chapel Hill. Been accepted to UNCC and UNCW. Definitely not going to UNCC after I toured there, so if I don’t get into Carolina, Wilmington it will be! @awkwardlife, are you from the coast? Isn’t Cape Fear a community college?

i believe so , it is a community college. I live in a town that is 30 mins away from wilmy

UNC, ECU for instate schools, mostly private schools outside the state.

Applied to app state and duke as well. App state because I live 15 min from it. Got accepted to it and honors college; doubt Ill get into Duke.

If Chapel Hill doesn’t work out, I’m pretty sure I’ll be going with Wilmington, too.

If Chapel Hill doesn’t work out, I’m going to NC State. I already got accepted for engineering, so at least I don’t have to worry about that.

Chance me please!
