I know UNC does not offer pre-pro majors (pre-law is a joke for the most part anyway). However, I know that Carolina does have pre-law advising anyone have experience with this dept?

Thanks

I’m not a pre-law student but I’d imagine it’s done about the same as all other advising so I’ll give some input until someone more qualified can chime in.

You’re going to a large state school so the advising is going to leave a lot to be desired. There is no way for them to give you the personal attention you would like to be given that they have to serve tens of thousands of students.

However, if you go about it the right way, scheduling appointments weeks in advance etc, everyone I have come into contact there is absolutely great. They will spend the entire 30 minutes/hour with you doing whatever you need them to remaining patient and kind throughout.

I’m sure that whatever your major your adviser will work tirelessly to help you achieve what you want.

I wish I could say the same for the rest of the University’s offices.
