So, I'm heading to UGA in the fall, and felt like throwing this hypothetical around,

For a broadcast journalism major, which school would be better? Both are Top10 Journalism/MassComm schools, however, Journalism doesn't pay well, so here's how I see the situation:

UNC: I've paid OOS fees, but a UNC degree is so prestigious, it wouldn't be insane to pay off the debt.

UGA: Haven't paid as much, but won't be as high paying as a UNC degree.

What do the wonderful minds of CC think?

UGA is a very good communications school, it’s a very good choice and I wouldn’t think twice about it. Stop looking back and look forward towards a great college career at UGA!

UNC without a doubt. UNC has better name recognition overall and has a top 5 journalism school.

Aside from the prestige factor, both schools have a similar atmosphere with beautiful campuses and great college towns. I would still lean towards UNC though.

hmm…

Is UNC Top5? Top10, definitely, but I feel like Syracuse, NW, Mizzou, USC, and UCLA would top it.
