UNCSA Drama Acceptance

Hey, I am just wondering is anyone has received anything from NCSA yet as far as acceptance/rejection letter.

We received a rejection letter 2 weeks ago. They accept either 26 or 28 students. 8 guys and 8 girls in state and the rest out of state.

niceguy19 posted an acceptance to UNCSA last week. So, some rejections and some acceptances have gone out. We’re waiting with you!

My audition was on Feb. 19th and still haven’t heard anything yet. I’m all the way up in Seattle though, so I’m guessing it might take awhile.

EmyB91- I am in Seattle as well…I was sent an email first and call…but haven’t revieved my letter yet. So maybe yours is coming soon?

@Niceguy19 - yeah, hopefully! I’m just anxious for an answer either way.

I’ve got a friend at UNCSA who believes they might send out letters in the order the auditions took place.

So sorry to crash the theater party, but I auditioned for the high school voice program at NCSA the last weekend in February, and was accepted pending studio space. Does anyone know what this generally means as far as an admissions decision goes, and when I would be notified?

I just got a letter saying:
“Your audition was highly rated, and we feel confident you are a very good candidate for training at UNCSA. Unfortunately we have had to narrow the number of accepts as we hope to put together a class of 26 students. We truly wish we had a place to offer you, but it is just not possible.
However, if you remain interested in UNCSA, we encourage you to audition for us again in the future. We urge you not to be discouraged, but to receive our decision as a positive step in the recognition of your talent.”
Did anyone else get this letter? or know if it is just the standard letter that goes out to everyone that is denied entry? or are they really trying to say that I was close to being accepted but just did not make the cut…

My s got the same letter :(

My S got the same letter too

I can’t confirm this but I am pretty sure that not everyone gets that letter.

So has no one received an acceptance letter yet?

What date did you guys audition on? Are you from NC, or somewhere else?

One of my daughter’s friends just got accepted. She auditioned last year and didn’t make it in but she auditioned this year and made it. She’s African American and I don’t know how she found out. My daughter also said a boy in her class also made it in and don’t know how he found out either.

My s auditioned on Jan 28th. We are oos.

Oos? What does that stand for? Has anyone received an email from Mr. beseda like some in past years?

OOS is Out of State.

Ahhh great. Me too. Thanks for the info!

Do they accept fewer out of state than in state? That would make it practically impossible for out of state - especially girls!

Has anyone else heard? What date did you audition if you have heard? We can find out if it’s rolling or not if we see a pattern in the dates.
