what kind of under bed storage is there? do i need to buy the things to lift the legs of the bed up? Just trying to figure out what size containers I should be buying.

yea i was wondering the same, tho my mom already bought the risers

where do you buy the risers?

bed bath and beyond, linens and things

are they like specifically called bed risers? (sorry i sound like a total noob)

I'm pretty sure they're specifically called bed risers. I saw them the other day while shopping for other stuff for the big move, they're pretty decently priced. As for under the bed storage sans the risers, I don't know. If all the beds are like the ones in Weinstein, you might want to invest in risers so you can fit good sized containers under there. I don't remember the beds at orientation being too high off the ground...

plus, if you're like me and you lose stuff under your bed ALL the time, you'll probably have an easier time finding stuff with the risers...well at least i'd think so. haha, whatever, i'm sure with or without risers everything will work out.

ya you can buy the risers in NY if you need them... just sorta play it by ear. you could also buy the storage bins in NY too. they have a target close to campus. thats what im planning on doing since im coming from cali. im buying everything i need there.

where is there a target around campus? i dont mean to be rude, but ive been in the area for high school and never noticed one.

Haha. There's no Target in Manhattan, let alone near campus. Probably the closest is in Brooklyn or in Jersey.

That's funny, at orientation, a lady from the housing dept spoke and told us there was a Target close by and that no bed risers of any kind were allowed.

Haha I can just picture RAs searching every dorm in the residence halls for contraband bed risers...

A bed riser can be nothing more than 4 blocks of wood or bricks, but there's a Bed Bath & Beyond in Chelsea. For that matter, New Yorkers who generally live in small/tiny apartments are experts in maximizing space and there are 17 zillion houseware stores in NYC which cater to them. For that matter, take a walk a couple of blocks South to Canal Street you can find just about anything in the world to use to raise your bed or store your possessions.

You can get bed risers ANYWHERE around here, seriously. Don't worry about this stuff now

yea there's a bed bath n beyond down on 17th and 6th, if you cant find wat you want there there is an abundance of stores like it around
