Undergrad Accounting Programs in the Northeast

So, after almost 3 years in the Army right out of high school, I’m ready to start looking at colleges again, and I’d like some feedback on my current list of prospective universities, as well as some suggestions on how I can improve that list. As the title mentions, I’m planning on going into an undergraduate accounting program, with the intent of getting my masters afterwards (although, the two don’t necessarily have to be at the same school). In addition, I’m also considering a second major in Political Science. I love the Boston area, and I’d really like to live there after college, so most of my choices are in Boston, although there are a few in nearby states as well. I used tuition assistance to do 2 college courses through Southern New Hampshire University online, an English Comp 1 class, as well an Intro to Social Sciences class during my time deployed, so I’m not able to apply to all colleges due to certain transfer requirements. Most of the colleges on my list will let me apply as a freshman however since I have so few credits. There are some that do require me to apply as a transfer, and I do meet the requirements for those, even with only 6 credit hours. In high school, I didn’t get the best GPA, roughly a 3.3-3.4 unweighted (if I remember correctly), but I got a 32 composite on my ACT, and in both of my college courses, I got high A’s, just so you all are aware. Thanks for all your help!

My List:

Boston College

College of the Holy Cross

Umass Amherst/Lowell

Bryant University

Assumption College

St. Johns University

Endicott College

Suffolk University

Northeastern University (BSBA Master of Science in Accounting combined program)

Saint Louis University (I chose this school since its close to my parents, so I’d be able to set my GI Bill housing allowance money aside to put towards an apartment or house after I graduate, also, they have a combined program like Northeastern)

If you haven’t already, I’d look into Bentley, Babson, Stonehill, BU,and UMass-Amherst as well. Best of luck as you move forward.
