Undergrad Engineering

im a junior and im really interested in engineering at psu
but im really confused on how the engineering program works
whats the difference between the engineering program and majoring in eng.
is it hard to get into the eng. program?
whats the eng. program like?

thanks

I don’t think you’ve gotten any responses because people don’t really understand your question. Unless you are talking about a specific program like Engineering Entrepreneurship the “engineering program” is just another way people refer to the College of Engineering and its departments.

If its college of engineering you don’t apply to it, you apply once you have are enrolled at Penn State and toward then end of your 2nd year there.

Students can apply to PSU and get accepted to the College of Engineering as incoming freshmen. During sophomore year students can choose their major within the College of Engineering. However, there are certain courses and grades that are required for admission to majors. Also, students who are admitted to PSU as DUS (Department of Undergraduate Studies) students or transfer to DUS from other colleges within PSU during freshman year can also get admitted to the College of Engineering majors if they meet the same course and grade requirements as those directly admitted to the COE as freshmen.
