I know I want to pursue a career in business, either in Marketing/Advertising (Global), or management. My goal is to work up to a CEO of a company. That being said, I'm not sure if I should major in business as an undergraduate, especially if I plan on pursuing a master's degree. But what are the benefits and cons of both? Should I major in economics instead?

Thanks for the input!

It doesn't matter. What matters is what you want to do upon graduation from college. Once you know that, choosing your major will be much easier.

People pursue their MBAs from a variety of undergrad backgrounds: economics, business, engineering, liberal arts, etc. It really doesn't matter. What matters is what you do with your degree once you graduate from undergrad. MBA programs want high performers that are going to maximize the return on their investment in an MBA education.
