Hi i am considering to go to the University of Pittsburgh as a freshman with a major in biology and pre-med tract. I have all the resources of the UPMC, medical school, and many hospitals for my research and volunteering and pittsburgh's wonderful reputation in biological sciences. My question was that Carnegie Mellon also has good sciences and research would it be wise to take some extra classes and some extra research over there so spice up my application for med school since carnegie is a fantastic name or should i just do everything at Upitt which is also fantastic in sciences and research?

Can't imagine it would matter. Might help demonstrate interest in CMU if they had a med school.
