Undergraduate Recruiting-Location

I am aware that the top recruited schools are generally located on the east coast. However, I was wondering if good schools located in other regions (i.e. Northwestern) would receive a good amount of recruiting from businesses as well? The reason I ask is because I have higher interests in attending a school like Northwestern, but I am apprehensive of the chances one would have of recruitment into consulting or IB from a school like this. Is it an absolute must to go to an east coast school like Wharton or Stern to pursue a career in finance? How much of a difference is there if you attend a Northwestern or Washu?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
