Understanding my scholarships!? Help!

when I was first accepted to ASU I was given a $9500 presidents award. I checked my financial aid status today and it lists a $4750 “New American University Scholarship- President’s Award.” The presidents award of $9500 is still there as far as I can tell but in a separate category. I’m really confused. Does this mean I have both scholarships? Or has my president’s award of $9500 been changed to $4750???

Double check what you are looking at. Most likely the $4750 is by semester. The separate category may be by semester.

@annoyingdad It shows the same for both term and year. If i click “Renewable Aid Program Status: More Information” it shows “Presidents Award- $9500.” But in the main list it only shows “New American University Scholar- President’s Award” and the total financial aid is said to be $4750. It is classified as a scholarship. The thing that confuses me most is that President’s Award is within the name of the New American Award

@annoyingdad you may be right about it just being listed as one semester because it says Spring 2016. But I am enrolling for the fall 2015 semester and it says the president’s award is renewable for 8 semesters, so I don’t know why it would start in my second semester

And there’s no category for fall 2015? You said the category had to do with renewable aid, fall would be the original aid, not renewable. Just guessing here a little. If you can’t figure it out, shoot the finaid office an email to explain it.

@annoyindad you’re probably right. I just freaked out a little bit at first haha
