I posted these on the "Big List Thread", but wanted to make a separate thread for anyone who is still looking for something next year. These are smaller scale programs, but could be a good fit for some people.

Louisiana:
Northwestern State University - BS in Theatre with MT concentration (It is located in Natchitoches, the town featured in Steel Magnolias) (non audition)

NSU | Theatre and Dance | Welcome to Northwestern Theatre and Dance

There is a Scholars College here that offers mentoring and smaller classes. LOTS of scholarship $$. NSU does a main stage musical every semester and has several summer productions. There is a big Christmas festival in Natchitoches and they do a Christmas variety show every year with their own version of Rockettes...

A recent NSU MT grad is currently touring with Color Purple...

Mississippi:
University of Southern Mississippi - BA in Theatre with MT "Professional Training" (Located in Hattiesburg. Also has BFAs in Theatre & Dance, and Dance minor) (non audition)

CoAL - Theatre and Dance

I haven't visited here but have friends of S who are here in majoring in Accounting. They do musicals once a year and there is talk of making it a MT degree outright. S' friend says productions are good. And my D's theatre teacher is an alum...

Again, these are smaller programs, but could be a could match for someone...

Good luck!
