Is having to complete a scholarship interview a good or bad thing? In order to see which merit based scholarships I received, I have to have an interview with Adrian Milford. I’m just wondering if this is a good sign or not?

Good Morning Fayth93. This is a good thing. This means you are eligible for an upgraded scholarship award! If you have any other questions, please feel free to e-mail us at admissions@unf.edu.

When will students who had an additional interview for the Merit Based Scholarships hear back? Also when will students hear back about the Need Based Scholarships?

Not sure if you can help me. I’m a undergraduate student with 44 semester hours earned and I’m hoping to transfer to UNF, I have not received my A.A. but I have a 4.0 high school GPA, took mostly dual enrollment and Honors courses, and participated in a few activities in school as well as volunteered at the local humane society and I’ve been employed for the past year. My current college GPA is a 3.53, and my SAT score is an 1170 math and verbal, and an 1800 with writing. I just completed my application for UNF and I am waiting to send my transcripts. I just wanted to know how many lower level transfer students you tend to accept for the fall semester, as well as if my chances are looking good at getting into UNF right now, or if I should just get my A.A. first and then transfer? Not sure if you can answer some of those questions but thanks in advance!!

Depending on enrollment, we sometimes tighten restrictions for lower-level transfer students, so our requirements tend to be a moving target. Regardless, it sounds like your academic record is impressive, and, unless you are missing required classes from your high school record, you should be in good shape for transfer admission. We are openly accepting applications at all levels for Summer as well as Fall 2012 terms, so if you are interested I encourage you to apply now. You can visit our website at [UNF - Admissions - Apply Now](UNF: Apply to UNF) to start that process. Call us if you have any questions - (904) 620-5555. Good luck!

I want to transfer to UNF and am wondering my chances of being accepted. I have a 3.5 gpa from high school, a 1210 on the sat, and 28 on the act. I have approximately 80 credits and have a low gpa at the university I am currently attending.

Our transfer admission standards fluctuate depending on the applicant pool and the number of seats available, but right now we are requiring a transfer GPA around a 2.3-2.5. We will not count your high school GPA toward this number, so this would be cumulative from all college coursework you have completed. As long as all 80 of your credits are transferable to UNF, you would be considered an upper-level transfer, so we would only be making our decision based on your college coursework. If you had fewer than 60 transferable credit hours, you would’ve been considered a lower-level transfer so we would’ve been making our decision based on college coursework and high school coursework/test scores. Hope this helps. Good luck to you!

What does recalculated GPA mean? Thank you.

I was recently denied admission to UNF and it is still my #1 school choice. What options do I have if still really want to attend? Or what can I do
I applied as a lower level transfer student about a month ago and my status hasn’t changed. I applied for the Spring 2016 term and I’m out of state. Is there a time frame when we would be hearing back? It’s my first choice school and I just wanted to make sure I have enough time to move and what not.
I’m an interested senior in high school and I wanted to know if I made a 20 on the act and my grades are As and Bs,and my gpa is over a 4.0 ,when weighted due to my AP classes, are my chances for getting into UNF still high ? And are there any full ride scholarships available ? I’m also a minority
