<p>Which school is better for electrical engineering? Which one has better environment? Hope you guys could share more about these 2 unis.</p>
<p>I have also heard that purdue university is a really huge uni town and not much place to hangout during weekends except sports.</p>
<p>I can only tell you about UM. It has strong engineering overall. The university is 2 miles from downtown on the Mississippi River in the heart of Minneapolis. A lot of activities going on all weekends in a vibrant city. Plenty of outdoor activities, Parks, restaurants, clubs, etc. etc. It certainly will be cold for some time in the Winter but only 5 degrees or so cooler than West Lafayette. There are great engineering employers as well with Fortune 500 3M, Honeywell, Medtronics, St. Jude, Alliant and more.</p>
