So, I wanted to know what are the hardest universities to get into from the unified auditions?
All auditioned programs are very hard to get into…there are so many variables.
I Agree with Bissou. But are you asking if certain schools are more likely to accept candidates who audition on campus or at unifieds? If that is he question- then I think most people here (and the schools themselves) will say it doesn’t matter. But- with that said, there are defiantly people who prefer on campus, and some people who thrive on the vibe of unifieds. My kid did a mix of both, and had positive and negative results from both, it just depends
I mean, if you compare for example NYU and Santa Fe University, NYU is more selective. So what are the universities that are really selective?
CMU, Michigan, CCM are probably at the very top of the heap.
Sorry I was thinking MT. CMU, Julliard, SUNY Purchase, Rutgers are all nearly impossible to get into in acting, if that’s what you’re looking for.
Minn guthrie is also super selective
^^as is BU, although BU accepts a higher number of kids, so maybe your chances go from 5% at, say CMU, to 10% at BU.
But I’m not sure Juillard comes to Unifieds does it?
That’s true but I believe they’re there at the same time in Chicago (and have simultaneous auditions in NYC).
And another interesting fact is that every year there is someone who is rejected from the “easier” programs to get into but admitted to a “top” program. There is no rhyme or reason. They are ALL difficult admits.
