<p>Just under curiosity, which do girls prefer to wear mess dress or full dress gray over white?</p>
<p>Depends on each girl's preference. My daughter doesn't like long skirts (or wanted to spend the money to buy the mess dress), so she wears the full dress gray over white. Both were seen at the "hop" during Plebe-Parent Weekend, although the female cadets had a black jacket, not the white that is shown in the picture.</p>
<p>Our D prefers not to look like a waiter--hasn't worn dress mess in 3 years and swears she won't this year either....</p>
<p>Shogun isn't kidding -- one of my son's best friends wore the mess dress (at her Mom's request) to the All Service Academy Ball their plebe year. After being handed a used glass by one attendee, and asked by another one if it would be possible to get an additional bottle of wine, she swore never to wear it again. For the next three years I saw her only in cadet Full Dress... ;)</p>
<p>India Whites are issued in the spring as you'll need them for Camp Illumination at the end of Buckner.</p>
