My daughter has become concerned that one of the teachers she invited through the Common App to write her a recommendation may not be the best choice and wants to know if she can "uninvite" them and make a change?

She doesn’t have to. Even if she invites a teacher she doesn’t necessarily have to use that teacher. She could invite every single teacher in her school if she wanted to and each of them could fill out a recommendation letter and the teacher eval. However, for each individual college (under the “My Colleges” tab), she can simply choose the 1 or 2 she wants to use. Colleges cannot and will not see the rest.

She may assign different teachers to different schools after invited. You don’t have to assign that teach and you may delete that assignment too if you have done so before you submit the application.

She can also politely and genuinely thank the teacher and say that at this point, the rec letter is no longer needed and to ignore the Common App invite. The teacher will likely be thankful not to have to go thru the exercise.
